If competitive skateboarding had a focal point, it would be Nyjah Huston. As a childhood prodigy, he ushered in a new era of street skating which was hitherto considered possible within the world of video games only. In taking his ridiculous consistency and certain venom within his street skating power, and becoming a student of the contest format, Nyjah has become the most dominant contest skater of this new era and remains the pre-eminent street skateboarding contest figurehead today despite a rare blip in Tokyo last December. There is nobody with more competitive desire or experience than him in the world today.
