Hayden Zablotny and Robin Goomes win 2025 Red Bull Rampage

Hayden Zablotny and Robin Goomes win 2025 Red Bull Rampage

Published Oct 20, 2025

The 2025 Red Bull Rampage once again delivered one of the most technically demanding spectacles in freeride mountain biking. Held on October 18 in the desert cliffs of Virgin, Utah, the event brought out massive tricks, high consequence lines, and a new men's winner in Hayden Zablotny, while Robin Goomes defended her title in the women’s field.

Men’s Podium

  • 1st – Hayden Zablotny – 96.0
  • 2nd – Thomas Genon – 94.35
  • 3rd – Tom Van Steenbergen – 94.0

Zablotny, who was one of the last riders to drop, laid down a huge run with a massive flatspin 360 and several exposed trick features to overtake early leader Thomas Genon. It’s the Canadian’s first Rampage title in only his second appearance at the event, signaling his rise into the sport’s elite.

Genon’s second-place finish marks his second career Rampage podium, adding to his 2015 runner-up placing. Tom Van Steenbergen returned to the Rampage podium for the first time since his 2021 win, showing he’s still among the best big mountain riders in the world.

Women’s Podium

  • 1st – Robin Goomes – 89.5
  • 2nd – Hannah Bergemann – 89.33
  • 3rd – Georgia Astle – 87.66

Goomes solidified her status as the dominant force in women’s freeride by taking back-to-back Rampage victories. Her run featured a 360 drop, steep ridge line riding, and technical tricks throughout. Kimball improved from her 2024 showing to claim second, while Verbeeck rounded out the podium after battling through wind delays and course difficulties.

Heavy crashes for Johansson and Silva

The event also reminded viewers of the risks inherent to big-mountain freeride. Emil Johansson and Adolf Silva both suffered heavy crashes during their runs. Early reports suggest no life-threatening injuries, though both riders will require recovery time.

Their crashes, while unfortunate, highlighted the razor-thin margins athletes operate within at Rampage especially with progressive trick difficulty pushing new boundaries each year.

Key Notes

  • Goomes becomes the first two-time women’s Rampage winner since the women's field was added in 2024.
  • Two Canadians (Zablotny and Van Steenbergen) landed on the men’s podium, continuing Canada’s strong tradition in the event.
  • The course was a new build zone this year, pushing riders to find creative lines with minimal carryover from past events.
